Blackening Spice
I'm going to start off the collection with a spice mixture that is a staple in my kitchen. It tastes delicious on chicken and seafood.
1/4 tbsp. salt
1 1/3 tbsp. pepper
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 tsp. cayenne
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. thyme
I usually make a big batch of this and then just use however much I need for that evenings meal and save the rest in a container for later use. The more you use, obviously the spicer it is!
